BEFORE CARE

Before your appointment:

  • Please wear your normal make-up to your initial/enhancement appointment.

  • NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure (Yes, there is caffeine in decaf coffee and tea!).

  • Avoid sun and tanning one week prior to procedure.

  • Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure.

  • Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements 48 hours prior to procedure.

  • Discontinue Retin-A at least 4 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure).

  • Refrain from use of any Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure).

  • Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 1 month prior to procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables.

  • No brow waxing, tinting, or threading one week prior (the more natural hair growth you have, the better!

  • Avoid Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion or facials for 4-weeks prior to procedure.

    Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will slowly subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to 2 weeks, sometimes more.

    ***Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

AFTERCARE

Please follow these instructions for up to 14 days following microblading procedure:

  • Wipe off Sealer after 4-5 hours with a damp cotton pad.

  • Clean eyebrows at the end of the day with a damp cotton pad. You may use a gentle mild soap. Make sure to pat them dry right after.

  • For oily skin, dry heal (NO ointment or anything applied to the eyebrows).

  • For non-oily skin, after 48 hours, apply After Care Gel or Aquaphor 1-2 times daily. 

  • Keep eyebrows dry (avoid them being submerged in water for too long; ex. Swimming or sauna. A quick shower or washing face is fine, just avoid the eyebrow area)

  • No exercising, tanning, waxing or threading.

  • No makeup, eyebrow pencil, lotion or other facial skin care directly products on the eyebrows.

  • Avoid steam rooms, saunas, and sun beds.

  • Avoid laying face on floor or any unsanitary surfaces, if necessary change pillow cases and bed linens.

  • You may find that your brows may will scab or become slightly dry, if they itch DO NOT scratch them, just tap them to relieve the itch.

  • Avoid excess sun exposure as this can cause pigment to fade.

  • If you are due to or are having an MRI scan, please inform your doctor that you had microblading done.

  • Chemical peels or any other medical procedures should only be done once healing process is complete.

  • If you are due to give blood after the procedure, please inform your nurse that you had microblading done as this may alter the results.

Please Note:

Subjective effect on different individuals, e.g. skin types that affect the attachment of color. Most clients will need two sessions; some will only need one and some will need a third touch-up to complete the look at an additional charge.

**Failure to follow after care instructions may result in infections, pigment loss or discoloration.
